For this task you are going to be making a tally chart of the number of different coloured sticks you have been given. You will need to think about the best way to make your chart and present your information. You are to use the sticks as tally marks.

1. Using a large sheet of paper and the page of labels, design a tally chart on which to record the number of sticks of each of the four different colours.
2. Cut the labels out and put them on the chart where you think they go. When you are happy with where they are, glue the labels in place.
3. One by one, take the sticks out of the envelope and place them on your chart in correct tally format.
4. Fill in the part of your chart that shows how many sticks of each colour you have.
