Estimating the room

This practical task requires you to construct a one metre newspaper roll, use it to estimate the dimensions of a room, then calculate the volume of that room.

 

Using sheets of newspaper, roll the paper up to make a 1 metre length and secure with tape.

 

You will need to make the roll quite thick and strong.
