On a sunny day in summer some students put two equal-sized sheets of plastic on the flat concrete outside their room. One sheet of plastic was white and the other was black. They poured a glass of water onto each sheet.
The students saw that the water on the black plastic disappeared quickly, but the water on the white plastic stayed much longer.
