Fables resources

Students listen to a folktale then recall information from it by answering multiple-choice questions.

Students identify what type of people the characters in the story are and choose evidence from the text to justify their decisions; they also identify the main idea of the text. Suggestions for evaluating character and the author's style of characterisation are under the "Working with Students" tab.

After reading the story, students recall the sequence and identify some details. To do this, students are given a list of words to select from. Students justify their inferences based on the evidence in the written and visual texts.
