This task is about giving a talk to the class or group about a book you have read.
Prepare and give a talk to the class or group about a book you have recently read.

  • You can use drawings, pictures, or objects in your talk.
  • Your talk will be assessed for both content and delivery.  
Content:
Make sure your talk includes this information about your book:
  1. Title and author
  2. The main characters (a brief description of each main character)
  3. Where the story takes place (the setting)
  4. A brief re-telling of the main points of the story (the plot)
  5. Whether you would recommend the book to others. (Did you like the book? Why or why not?)
Delivery:
When you give your talk, make sure you:
  • Maintain eye contact with the audience.
  • Use appropriate language
  • Speak with expression
  • Use positive body language
  • Talk at an appropriate speed and volume.
