How to do this task
Cut out the pictures of the animals.
Stick each picture in the box next to the name of the group the animal belongs to.

Scissors; glue; sheet of animal pictures.
The first set of animal pictures is for use with this task. The second set contains animals that are more difficult to classify. This could be used as an extension.
You could ask students what is special about the animals in each group, e.g., birds – because they have feathers.
