This task is about when to use brackets.

Writers use brackets in a variety of ways.
Read the following sentences, then give two purposes that writers use brackets for.
 
  • "When he saw her (the office lady), he gave her the money," said the teacher.
  • "Bill in his talk said "Helen Clark was the second elected woman Prime Minister (actually the first) in 1998 (actually 1999)."
  • CHERYL: (yelling and stamping) leave now!
