Teaching and learning:
This resource involves drawing an enlargement of a shape on a grid. Students prior experience drawing is a key consideration before making an assessment judgement about their understnading of enlargement.
The task assesses both enlargement and students' ability to represent their thinking through drawing.
Assessing their drawing involves consideration about the students skill level as well as the medium in which they draw. For example, drawing online with a mouse is likely to be more difficult than drawing on a tablet with an finger, which may in turn be more difficult than drawing with pencil and paper.
