Diagnostic and formative information: 

On average articles (12%), prepositions (13%), and adverbs (15%) were most difficult for students to identify.

Verbs and pronouns average 32% correct with past tense verbs (i.e., sprinted, missed, jumped, was) being more difficult than other forms. 'Was' is identified as the most difficult verb.

Conjunctions (51%), adjectives (54%), and nouns (66%) proved to be the least difficult for students to identify.
