This task is about tessellating patterns.
Practical task - tessellation.
  • Cut out the shapes.
  • Arrange the shapes in the box below so that they make a repeating pattern.
  • Fill up the whole box with your pattern so there are no gaps.
  • When you have made your pattern glue the shapes in the box.

This task can be completed with scissors and glue. 
 
Equipment:
Scissors; glue; photocopied page of shapes.

Give each student the page of photocopied shapes and the page of instructions.
