Choosing fonts

This task is about matching the best font to illustrate different signs.

When we make a poster, heading or a sign for something we can use different fonts (lettering styles) to help show the meaning of the sign.

Choose the best font that shows the meanings of each of the following signs and explain why is works best.

Select the number of the font next to the sign.

Choose a different font for each sign (There will be two fonts left over).

d)	11% of students chose Font 6.	Font 6 has similarities with Font 4 but lacks the detail suggestive of carnival, that makes Font 4 the best answer.
e)	11% of students chose Font 4. 11% of students chose Font 9.	Font 4 has similarities with Font 6 but fonts used to suggest the 'West' do not usually include the detail suggestive of carnival found in Font 4. Students who chose Font 9 show they understand that a font suggesting a bygone era is needed, but have chosen a font from too early an era.
g)	9% of students chose Font 3.	Students who chose Font 3 show they understand that a clear, plain font is usually used for 'Exit' signs, but have not chosen the most clear, plain font available.
