Selects a net which is close to the 3-D shape (i.e., does not confuse rectangular prisms, triangular prisms and pyramids).
This accounts for almost all of the errors made.

These students need to look more closely at the exact features of the likely nets and the 3-D shape. If they still find visualisation hard, they should cut out the nets and attempt to fold them into the required shape.
