This task is about using survey data to estimate the probability of the next person's answer.


 

New Zealand are going to play Australia in a game of netball. Three students decide to ask people going to the game who they think will win.
Each student chooses who they will ask at random.
  • Chloe asks 100 people and 63 say New Zealand will win.
  • Moana asks 200 people and 119 say New Zealand will win.
  • Olivia asks 50 people and 29 say New Zealand will win.
