This task is about putting numbers in order.
Practical task

  • Cut out all the numbers in the chart below.
  • Place the numbers in order from smallest to largest on the snake, with the smallest number at the snake's head and the largest number at the snake's tail.
  • Each number has a line drawn underneath it to show which way up it goes.
  • When you have placed the numbers in order glue them on to the snake.

Task administration: 

This task is completed with pencil and paper, and other equipment.

Equipment:

Scissors; glue; one green and one brown coloured pencil, crayon, or felt pen per student.

A line has been drawn under each number, to show which way up it goes, to avoid confusion once the numbers have been cut out. This will need to be explained to students.
